The Associate Professor (Collaborative Curriculum Design) will lead a collaborative approach to programme and curriculum design, bringing together expertise from across the university with subject experts to design high-quality programmes that meet the needs of Greenwich students. You will lead a group of curriculum designers, initially as part of the Curriculum Shape project and post-project as part of the Academic and Learning Enhancement team’s support for curriculum design and revalidation of programmes across the university.
Duties and responsibilities will typically include:
- Leading a collaborative approach to curriculum design, ensuring high-quality programmes that meet the needs of our students.
- Managing a team of Curriculum Designers to support curriculum design.
- Developing and delivering workshops, resources and guidance relating to curriculum design.
- Providing consultancy to senior leaders and programme teams on curriculum design.
- Analyzing Student Success metrics to identify design priorities for individual programmes and at an aggregate level.
Project team members will also undertake the normal range of responsibilities for academic staff on the learning and teaching pathway, including teaching, scholarship and development activities.
Qualifications and experience:
- Experience supporting programme teams in strategically aligned curriculum design, working collaboratively across academic and professional services teams, and evaluating the impact of projects on student success.
- Expertise and credibility in curriculum design, with strong data and analysis skills.
- Typically holding a PhD or equivalent professional practice.
