Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences. Are you an organised, detail-focused professional with strong administrative skills? We are looking for a Research and Knowledge Exchange Officer to provide administrative support across the Institute for research and knowledge exchange activities. Embedded within the Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences, the Institute for Lifecourse Development seeks to reduce inequalities and promote lifelong good health and wellbeing, inclusive education, decent work, and peace and justice for all. Purpose of the role
Reporting to the ILD Research and Knowledge Exchange Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the ILD, working as a member of the team to provide administrative support for a wide range of activities related to ILDβs research and knowledge exchange work. This is a varied role involving interaction with a wide range of university colleagues and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Administrative support to the ILD and the Faculty research and knowledge exchange agenda, including financial administration for research and knowledge exchange projects and funding schemes.
- Providing support to ensure smooth running of a range of ILD events.
- Organising and servicing Faculty and Institute committees, meetings and groups.
What weβre looking for
You will need strong communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with administrative and academic colleagues. You must have excellent organisational skills and be able to plan and prioritise a busy schedule of work to achieve objectives. You will have experience of working in a large and complex organisation, ideally within higher education. We are looking for someone with an eye for detail and who is able to provide a high level of accuracy. Your track record should include managing budgets and servicing committees as well as some experience in running events, with a commitment to continuous improvement and working as a team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who likes variety, has the ability to work well under pressure and is good at multitasking, and would like to build on their administrative experience.
