The University of Bolton Security Services strategy provides a framework for managing the security of the university campus, its staff, students and visitors. The strategy aims to minimise risks and ensure the university has systems, policies, procedures, and measures in place so that all users of the campus can conduct their activities in a safe and secure environment.

To undertake security activities and contribute to the consistent delivery of a first-class security service provided by the University. The role involves maintaining a safe and secure environment, enabling the Security Team to prevent crime and anti-social behaviour, and keeping students, staff, contractors and visitors safe from harm. This will be achieved by proactively responding to threats, risks, and harm, understanding the university incident command and control, engaging in debriefing for continuous improvement, executing daily operational security tasks, escalating appropriately, and working to best practice standards.
