Our staff are central to the University’s success, bringing professional expertise, strong subject knowledge and a commitment to excellent teaching and learning.
We are seeking to appoint an Associate Lecturer to support delivery across the Education portfolio, with a particular focus on MRes supervision, small-group teaching, workshops and academic support sessions. The post holder will contribute primarily to:
- Supervising postgraduate research students, particularly within the MRes programme
- Providing academic guidance, formative feedback and pastoral support to students
- Supporting assessment, marking and moderation activities in line with University regulations
- Contributing to student engagement, retention and academic progression
- Supporting programme teams with delivery activity during peak teaching periods
The role will also support the wider research and scholarly environment within the Subject Group and School, contributing to the development of research skills, methods training and academic practice where appropriate. Engagement in scholarly activity and professional development is encouraged in line with the University’s research-informed teaching approach.
