An exciting placement opportunity to work full-time (12-month contract) within the University of Gloucestershire’s IT Services department has arisen. The IT Technician Placement post resides within our IT Operations Team and is a practical role, providing a technical resolution service for IT queries logged by University staff & students.

It is imperative that you have good technical knowledge of PC and Mac hardware/software, along with a working knowledge of mobile phone technology, basic networking, Wi‑Fi connectivity and audio‑visual equipment. The successful candidate will support University staff & students with their IT queries, providing strong customer service, prioritising tasks, meeting deadlines, and working as part of a team. Good interpersonal skills, initiative, and a desire to develop IT knowledge & skills further are essential.

The role is based across all University locations within Cheltenham & Gloucester.
