Job Purpose
To support the operational elements of a market leading Print proposition for the University of Glasgow, operating within the wider Commercial Services directorate. This involves delivering the day-to-day printing requirements for all University and commercial stakeholders, ensuring requests are actioned efficiently and delivered to the specifications required. The role involves supporting the Print Team to achieve all elements of the Print Unit operating plan.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Use specialist digital print and wide format print hardware and software within the University Print Unit to provide print and design services to internal and external customers.
- Consistently support with the delivery of all print and finishing tasks designated by the Print Supervisor.
- Work in partnership with other key University Services, principally the Schools and Colleges, to develop and promote the Print Unit for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
- Responsible for understanding and delivering the brand and visual identity of the University of Glasgow and reflect this through interactions with all Print stakeholders.
- Provide information to existing and prospective customers on the services provided by the Print Unit.
- Assist in the achievement of the Customer Satisfaction KPI as part of the Wider Print Team.
Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Knowledge/Qualifications
Essential: A1 Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 4 (National 4) or equivalent and some experience of working in a similar role.
Desirable: B1 Knowledge of Photography such as image resolution and colour formatting. B2 Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Terms and Conditions
Salary will be on the Grade 3, £24,685 - £25,249 per annum, pro-rated to the number of hours assigned to, and worked by, you. This post is open ended and part time for a minimum 8 hours per month.
