This is a fantastic opportunity for a new Assistant Archivist (Sports Surveying Officer) to join the University’s Information Services.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and undertake a national programme of archive surveying for Scotland’s sporting collections.
- Launch four thematic surveys, a scoping survey of national sporting bodies, and develop relevant content for National Sporting Heritage Day.
- Organise a mid-project conference exploring sports archives, their care, and results of the project to date.
- Work closely with a dedicated Sporting Heritage Engagement Officer to support and deliver key project outreach and engagement workshops in a timely and efficient manner.
Role Details:
This post is full time (35 hours p/w) and fixed term, up to 2 years from start date. Closing date: 25th February 2026.
