Our client is seeking an experienced Advanced Level 2 IT Engineer with some Level 3 experience to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled IT professional with strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, compliance, and enterprise IT environments.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ IT experience, including at least 5 years in senior engineering, advanced support, or architecture roles
- Strong experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VMware, virtualization, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Ansible
- Advanced networking knowledge including SD-WAN and Zero-Trust architectures
- Experience with AI/ML technologies, data analytics platforms, and intelligent automation solutions
- Solid understanding of compliance frameworks including POPIA, GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, NIST, and CIS Controls
- Advanced cybersecurity experience including threat hunting, incident response, SIEM, EDR/XDR, and security automation
- Proven track record leading IT transformation, migration, and cloud adoption projects
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while mentoring junior team members
- Must be based in South Africa (Johannesburg preferred)
