Position Summary: UF Health Physician – General Surgeon at Durbin Park, St. Johns County, University of Florida.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality patient care in all aspects of General Surgery services.
- Work collaboratively with members of the healthcare team including nurse practitioners, nursing staff, pharmacists, etc.
- Responsible for excellent communication with primary care providers, consulting services and other referring providers.
- Assist in marketing the general surgery program to community physicians and managed care organizations.
- Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider/departmental meetings, and other clinical and operational meetings as requested.

Required Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice medicine in accordance with Chapter 458, Florida Statutes plus four years of appropriate experience. Completion of a residency program may substitute for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification/Licensure in the state of Florida and Federal DEA Certification.
- Medical Degree – M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent.
- Board certified in the appropriate subspecialty.
- Completion of an accredited residency program.
