We are currently in the process of transitioning from our existing recruitment system to a new one. This full‑time post is available immediately until 25th February 2028. Applications for secondments will be considered subject to agreement from your current line manager. The starting salary will be from £50,235 on Grade G, depending on knowledge, skills and experience.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home. We are looking for a Programme Manager to support IT components of the University’s new Transnational Education Service, working with colleagues across IT and business areas. You will coordinate and effectively manage a series of projects to deliver foundational IT capabilities to support TNE offering. This will include potential creation of new systems or series, adjustment to existing capabilities and technological advancement to support new business requirements.
The postholder will work closely with colleagues in both IT Services and in the Strategic Delivery Unit as well as other professional services areas.
You’ll be successful in this role if:
- You have experience and genuine passion/interest in delivering IT and Digital organisational change.
- You have demonstrable experience of user‑led design thinking, putting a customer/user at the heart of project delivery to ensure success.
- You are capable of recognising links and interdependencies across a large scale and diverse organisation.
- You have experience across a variety of project delivery methods (including waterfall and agile).
- You have excellent communication skills, and an ability to stand up positive relationships quickly – gaining traction and support even when working remotely.
- You are able to manage vendor/third‑party relationships effectively on their projects; experience of procurement and contracting.
- You employ organisation skills to effectively manage and balance attention to detail, accuracy and working at pace.
- You have demonstratable experience and/or certification on project and programme management controls and processes, including fiscal management and benefit tracking.
