Delivery Manager

This full‑time post is available immediately on a permanent basis. The starting salary will be from £43,482 on Grade F, depending on knowledge, skills and experience. This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

As Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for an Agile cross‑functional delivery team, delivering a key digital product for the University of Exeter. You’ll be adept at delivering complex digital projects, breaking down barriers for your team and planning at a higher level while getting into the detail to make things happen when needed. You will coach and mentor the delivery teams, assess performance, resolve problems and ensure the most appropriate Agile and Lean tools and techniques are applied to enable effective and efficient delivery.

The Delivery Chapter aspires to be the driving force behind delivering a connected and accessible future for the University of Exeter. We are the champions for embedding Agile and Lean delivery, enabling the University of Exeter to spend time and effort on successfully delivering Strategy 2030.

We are responsible for:

  • Making sure that our roadmap is delivered and that we have the right people, with the right skills in place to deliver the University of Exeter 2030 strategy.
  • Unblocking issues that impede delivery.
  • Ensuring multi‑disciplinary teams are working well together and have access to all the tools they need to do their jobs.

We’re really looking for…

  • Someone with experience in leading and coaching multi‑disciplinary teams in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Someone with experience in Agile and Lean delivery practices, with the ability to identify the best delivery process or methods to use.
  • Someone with extensive experience in planning a team’s work according to their capacity and leading in unblocking any impediments that will impact their velocity.
  • Someone who is not afraid to bring new ideas to the table and who wants to make a massive positive impact on the future of education.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
