An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Event Exeter Team at the University of Exeter. This new full‑time post is available immediately on a permanent basis. The starting salary will be from £28,029 up to £30,339 on Grade C depending on qualifications and experience. Offering generous holiday allowances, flexible working, and a pension scheme. This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

Event Exeter is responsible for delivering commercial events in University of Exeter venues, by proactively targeting the business events and leisure tourism markets. During vacation, the University’s Streatham Campus is the largest seasonal residential hotel in the South West and is capable of hosting international residential conferences for up to 1500+ delegates. The post holder will play a vital role within the Event Exeter team and will be responsible for responding to, creating proposals and fielding sales enquiries relating to facilities and services across the Streatham and St Luke’s campuses.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team who are forward‑thinking and innovative in their approach. The role will involve responding to and logging telephone and email requests. First and foremost, the position will play a role in helping to position Exeter as a key Hospitality, Conferencing and Events destination in the South West of England, with the overarching aim of maximising income.

Candidates will have the experience of working within a proactive commercial team environment. The role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage and work closely with university stakeholders, external partners and clients. The successful candidate will be flexible, customer‑focused and target‑driven and have a passion for working in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment.
