This full-time post is available from immediately on a permanent basis. The starting salary will be from £43,482 per annum on Grade F, depending on knowledge, skills and experience. The role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home. We welcome applications from candidates interested in working part-time hours or job-sharing arrangements.
Responsibilities
- The position will primarily support the central technical team across TSO.
- The post holder will report to the Director of Technical Strategy & Operations to manage delivery of a range of quality assurance and development projects including but not limited to:
- Adoption of new management systems
- Supporting, monitoring and reporting on safety and compliance
- Managing the University’s strategic capital equipment fund
- Inclusivity initiatives
- Adoption of learning and development pathways for technical staff
- Development and embedding of the university’s sustainable research strategy
- Improved communications
- The role holder will build strong working relationships with academics, professional services teams and external partners.
- They will also be comfortable working in an environment of extensive change and have a flexible, calm and adaptable approach.
- Project work is varied and it is essential that the post holder has the ability to be creative, adaptable and able to prioritise with minimum supervision.
