The Marketing team within the University are responsible for student recruitment marketing campaigns. We work on departmental marketing campaigns alongside wider corporate campaigns. The Social Media and Digital Marketing Officer will play a crucial role in implementing campaigns through our social media channels to engage prospective students. Additionally, this person will lead the creation of digital content, including video, to ensure we communicate with our target audience in innovative and engaging ways while reflecting the values of the University of Essex.

- Candidates should possess a degree or equivalent qualification and a professional Marketing qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in producing marketing campaigns across various channels.

This appointment is for a fixed-term of 12 months in order to provide cover for a permanent member of staff who is absent from work on maternity leave. There is provision in the terms of appointment for this fixed-term post to end earlier by due notice (1 month), if the permanent member of staff decides to return early to her post.
