This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in managing the Assessment Team, responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate taught student outcomes, the University's graduation experience and award provision. This role also plays a vital role in advising on and developing our rules of assessment and associated policies. The Assessment Team plays a leading institutional role in these important aspects of students' academic lives.
We are looking for an experienced manager with strong leadership and operational management skills; and the ability to provide sound advice for senior leadership and to lead and deliver a specialist higher education service. Do you have a combination of strong leadership skills and strategic planning experience, with the ability to advise on and influence policy? You will bring extensive management experience in a higher education or equivalent context.
You will have excellent communication and management skills with the ability to build productive working relationships with a wide range of people and teams. You will be highly organised, have sound knowledge of UK academic frameworks and be experienced in policy development, formal report writing and operational delivery with a strategic outlook.
