We are now seeking to appoint six Conference Receptionists within the conference office of Event Essex. Event Essex promotes and manages residential and non‑residential conference business on campus all year round. During the summer months of July, August and September, the residential accommodation is available to conferences and groups of all kinds, ranging from language schools, exhibitions and sports events to business and academic conferences and seminars for 20 to 500 delegates.

Receptionists will work effectively within a team to ensure the needs of clients are met promptly, accurately and courteously. Reception is the contact point for all clients, therefore experience of working within a service or hospitality industry, adaptability, dealing with multiple priorities and performing to high customer care standards are essential, along with a thorough knowledge of the university campus including the location of teaching rooms and facilities.

This post is temporary from 15 June 2026 to 27 September 2026.
