The Opportunity:

The post-holder will provide guidance to the school’s academic client base on all matters relating to research administration including the provision of management accounting type support. Costing and pricing of proposals, managing a research award portfolio and having a full understanding of terms and conditions of various research projects are key elements of this post.

  • Well-developed organisational and planning skills.
  • A methodical and flexible approach to tasks, including effective forward planning and prioritisation, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales.
  • Capacity to manage own time effectively and deliver quality.
  • Flexible and adaptable in approach to work routines, ability to adapt quickly to change; open to working with different teams/individuals as the business demands.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week); We are open to considering flexible working patterns. The role is based at the Kings Buildings and works on a hybrid basis. The post holder will be expected to be on campus on a Wednesday and Thursday. Remaining days can be worked from home or, where agreed, on campus depending on preference.
