Corporate Services Group / Estates Department

Part-time: 15 hours per week

Fixed-term: 12 months contract

The Opportunity:

We are looking for two fixed term, part time, Interns to work within the Estates Department. The roles will work in close collaboration with the Estates Space team. The main focus of the role will be to assist with ensuring the 2D CAD drawn record of the physical estate is accurate. This will primarily include CAD drawing skills but also survey skill, with an eye for accuracy and knowledge of the built environment.

The University’s physical estate is large, varied and complex, the spaces for students’ estate is no exception. Capturing accurate condition data, in order to inform any required changes is critical to ensuring the estates department continue to offer a suitable physical environment to our students. By becoming a member of our highly experienced team you will be contributing to student experience and the quality of the University’s estate, as well as learning and working with a team of experienced construction professionals.

The salary for this post is £24,729 pro-rata.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • A current 2nd, 3rd or penultimate year students
  • Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • CAD skills
