Grade UE07: £41,064 - £48,822 per annum. Full‑time: 35 hours per week. Fixed‑term contract: 24 months.

The Bigger laboratory is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to contribute to phase I/II clinical trials of haematopoietic stem cell gene therapies (HSCGT) for rare neurodegenerative diseases. You will develop, characterise and qualify critical assays in the specialty areas of lysosomal disease, immunological and gene therapy to support these trials, including at Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) standard. A research technician will assist in the delivery of the assays once developed.

We are looking for a postdoctoral research associate in gene therapy or related settings who wants to translate preclinical therapies into patients and is interested in clinical trial delivery at the cutting edge of gene therapy for childhood dementias.

Location: Mainly on‑site at our laboratories in Edinburgh BioQuarter campus. We are open to considering requests for flexible working patterns.
