Qualified Therapeutic Radiographer – Radiation Oncology Service
Location: Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, Easter Bush Campus, South side of Edinburgh.
Salary: £41,064 to £48,822 per annum.
Contract: Full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Open ended contract – Permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the linear accelerator to deliver photons or electrons for treatment of veterinary cancer patients.
- Assist during CT-scan for treatment planning, including positioning, designing of immobilisation devices, and treatment planning.
- Work with clinicians, nurses and other therapeutic radiographers to treat dogs, cats, rabbits and occasionally other domestic or exotic animals.
- Organise and prioritise daily/weekly workload independently and as part of a team.
- Contribute to teaching veterinary students in aspects of Radiation Oncology.
