We are looking a Waste and Furniture Assistant to help the Waste and Furniture Team. The purpose of the job is to supply the University with furniture, as well as organising the stock within the store. It will also be required to upgrade and maintain furniture across the Estate, and support our sustainability practices by the correct refurbishment and re-issue of second-hand furniture.

Location: Peffermill Furniture Store.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience with minor repairs to furniture and using hand power tools
  • Ability to follow building layout plans and verbal/written instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other members of the team and with contracted removal companies
  • Attention to detail for the delivery and correct checking of orders
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft packages e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Clean driving licence
