About Us: UEL is at the forefront of generating qualified professionals to enter the local workforce. Currently, the Allied Health Course Teams at UEL include Podiatry, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy with scope to expand further in the future. The Allied Health programmes at the University of East London thrive on the supportive partnerships with practice partners across the communities of East London and serve to support the health and social care needs of the local population. One of our aims for the department is to promote engagement in research to contribute to the knowledge base of our professions.

About the Job: We invite enthusiastic candidates who are HCPC registered Physiotherapists and hold a relevant Masters degree. Candidates must have previous teaching experience coupled with sound clinical leadership experience. Candidates will either hold a postgraduate certificate in professional education (or equivalent) or alternatively be willing to work towards this if appointed. Candidates must have a passion for student focused teaching, and a clear understanding and respect for the unique needs of widening participation cohorts of students. The successful applicant will have excellent knowledge of the professional and academic requirements of higher education programmes and will contribute to the development of Physiotherapy and more widely AHP in the university. The successful candidate will be expected to act as module leader, contribute to teaching and assessing learners across the BSc Physiotherapy undergraduate and apprenticeship courses. More widely, they will support leadership roles within Physiotherapy and also teach across the Allied Health courses. We invite candidates who have a passion for developing the professional, academic, research and scholarly profile of Physiotherapy and Allied Health within the School of Health, Sport and Bioscience, the wider University and local community.
