About the Job:
The Principal Product Manager – Ellucian Student will establish and lead UEL’s new product management capability for the Ellucian Student SaaS portfolio, ensuring the University continues to realise value from its Student Record System (SRS) Transformation Programme beyond implementation. You will define the long-term product vision, lead continuous improvement, build strong partnerships across the University and with Ellucian, and drive an exceptional digital experience for staff and students.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and deliver the long-term product vision, roadmap and prioritised backlog for UEL’s Ellucian Student SaaS portfolio.
- Lead the transition from programme delivery to business-as-usual product management, ensuring continuity, governance and sustained value.
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing product team, embedding agile and user-centred ways of working.
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders, Super Users, IT Services and Academic Registry to translate business needs into product improvements.
- Own the strategic relationship with Ellucian, identifying opportunities from new releases and ensuring maximum value from the platform.
- Establish product governance, monitor performance metrics and report progress, risks and outcomes to senior leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement by prioritising enhancements that improve the student and staff experience across the student lifecycle.
About You:
You are an experienced Product Manager with a proven track record of leading complex SaaS or enterprise technology products from strategy through to continuous improvement. You combine strategic thinking with strong stakeholder management and are confident influencing senior leaders, translating business needs into product roadmaps and leading cross-functional teams. Passionate about user-centred design and agile delivery, you thrive in collaborative environments and are motivated by delivering innovative digital solutions that create lasting value for organisations and their users.
