About The Role: We are looking for an engaging and committed Lecturer in Events and Hospitality to support our growing programmes and help shape exceptional student experiences. You will design, deliver and assess high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate modules, using blended, inclusive and applied learning methods. You will supervise research projects, contribute to curriculum enhancement, support student development and engage in scholarly and industry-relevant activities.
You will play a vital role in fostering strong student outcomes, embedding employability in the curriculum and building connections with organisations in the sector. You will collaborate with colleagues across IoHT and RDSBL to strengthen teaching excellence, research culture and industry engagement.
What You’ll Need To Thrive: You will succeed in this role if you have:
- Subject expertise in Hospitality, Tourism or Events Management
- Experience of engaging and inclusive higher education teaching
- The ability to design learning that balances academic rigour and practical relevance
- Strong interpersonal and pastoral skills to support diverse learners
- Interest in research, knowledge exchange or industry innovation
- Excellent organisation, collaboration and communication skills
- Confidence in working with employers, partners or sector networks
- Commitment to equality, widening participation and student success
- A Master’s degree is essential and a PhD or industry background would be welcome.
