The Successful Applicant: Essential experience includes substantial executive or senior leadership experience in digital transformation, technology, data or digital product leadership, and a strong record of leading complex, enterprise-wide transformation within a large organisation.
Knowledge: The postholder will have strong knowledge of enterprise digital strategy, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, data architecture, analytics and governance, and digital product and service design.
Skills and capabilities: The successful candidate will be able to combine strategic vision with disciplined delivery, build confidence and alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, and communicate with authority to technical and non-technical audiences.
Leadership attributes: The Chief Digital Officer will be strategic and future-focused, student- and user-centred, commercially and financially astute, innovative but disciplined, collaborative and influential, inclusive and values-led, delivery-oriented, and resilient and adaptable.
Qualifications: Essential qualifications include a degree-level qualification or equivalent senior professional experience.
What’s on Offer: Remuneration Package includes circa £180,000 base salary, performance-related bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Additional requirements: The postholder will be expected to undertake travel between UEL locations and international operations as required, represent the University at national and international events, and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, integrity and professional conduct.
