Responsibilities

  • As Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Engineering, you will teach on a variety of modules within the Engineering & Construction Department.
  • Deliver high quality, innovative and engaging teaching and contribute to the research environment.
  • Adopt the latest teaching pedagogy and develop best practices, utilising teaching and assessment tools and technological advancements.
  • Contribute to university-led and/or school initiatives and developments in line with strategic plans and KPIs.

Qualifications

  • Educated to postgraduate level in a relevant subject, with a relevant PhD or proven research track record.
  • Extensive knowledge of the field, with specialised knowledge in sub-areas such as neuro-mechanics and bioelectricity of movement, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, or brain-machine interface.
  • Confident networker and relationship builder able to engage local and national employers and other educational institutions to provide progression opportunities and enhance the student experience.
