Working closely with the Senior Learning Technology Advisor, you will support and facilitate learning technology activity aligned with institutional priorities in curriculum transformation, digital education and technology enhanced active learning. The role is the first point of contact with academics with operational guidance and contributing to technology projects and initiatives. You will act as an important link between CELT, Schools and IT Services, ensuring that learning technologies are implemented in ways that are pedagogically grounded, inclusive and sustainable.
Responsibilities- Deliver targeted training and front line assistance to academic and professional staff to support the integration of core TEL systems, staff development, guidance and resources relating to digital education and technology enhanced learning.
- Contribute to technology enhanced learning initiatives and projects that support curriculum innovation and digital education across the University.
- Provide advice on the pedagogically effective use of learning technologies including the virtual learning environment, Generative AI tools, collaboration tools and emerging technologies.
- Work closely with Schools, CELT colleagues and IT Services to support the implementation and development of learning technologies.
- Contribute to planning, evaluation and continuous improvement relating to digital education and learning technology.
- Provide expert advice and help translate pedagogical needs into effective digital solutions, collaborating with academic colleagues, professional services teams and stakeholders.
- Have experience working on projects or initiatives related to digital education and supporting colleagues to develop their digital teaching practice.
- Experience designing, implementing and supporting technology enhanced learning within higher education or a comparable environment.
- Understanding of how digital tools and platforms can support effective, inclusive and engaging teaching, learning and assessment approaches.
- Experience working with academics, professional services teams and stakeholders to deliver digital solutions.
- Commitment to inclusive and accessible education and to supporting innovation in teaching and learning within a diverse higher education environment.
- Experience with emerging technologies such as AI, AR and VR is desirable.
- Grade F post with a salary range of £46,472-51,607 (Inclusive of London Weighting).
- 20% pension (4% from you, 16% from us).
