About the School / Service: The Commercial and Programme Delivery Directorate, led by the Chief Commercial Officer, sits at the heart of UEL’s strategic ambitions, bringing together expertise across commercial strategy, procurement, programme delivery, strategic transformation and business development to drive the University’s major initiatives and long-term growth agenda.

About the Job: The Data Analyst will play a key role in supporting the University’s transition from legacy systems to Banner SaaS as part of the Student Record System (SRS) Transformation Programme. Working within the Data Architecture and Data Migration workstreams, you will use SQL, Power BI and reporting tools to query, analyse and present data to business stakeholders, enabling data validation, cleansing and informed decision-making ahead of migration and go-live activities.

  • Query, analyse and present data across multiple systems using tools such as SQL, Excel and Power BI.
  • Develop and maintain reusable queries, reports and dashboards to support migration, validation and data quality activities.
  • Support business stakeholders in reviewing, validating and cleansing data ahead of migration cycles and go-live.
  • Identify and highlight data quality issues, anomalies and exceptions through clear reporting and analysis.
  • Work collaboratively with technical teams, data architects, testers and business stakeholders to improve data quality processes and reporting standards.
  • Translate technical findings into clear, practical insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of data validation, reporting and migration processes across the transformation programme.

About You: You are a highly analytical and detail-focused data professional with strong SQL and reporting skills, and experience working with complex datasets across multiple systems. You’re confident using tools such as Power BI and Excel to turn data into meaningful insights that support decision-making and improve data quality. You’re a strong communicator who can explain technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, and you enjoy working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders. Methodical, inquisitive and delivery-focused, you thrive in fast-paced transformation environments and are passionate about improving data quality and supporting positive organisational change.
