About the Job:
MassChallenge UK (MCUK) is a new UK‑based startup programme focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help turn university ideas into successful companies. The programme connects fast‑moving AI startups with major corporate partners who need new technology to solve business problems. Through mentorship, funding, and direct industry access, MCUK aims to speed up the growth of these AI ventures, maximise social and economic impact, and support the UK’s goal of leading in AI development.
The MassChallenge UK (MCUK) Startup Community Coordinator will project‑manage the RED fund deliverables in collaboration with our partners, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), and the MCUK team, ensuring projects stay on track and are delivered in full. A key deliverable is developing a successful pipeline of university startup and spin‑out applicants for MCUK (starting with UEL and QMUL). The postholder will also promote the MCUK offering across other UK universities to recruit the most relevant cohorts.
Key Targets:
- Engage with 40 universities by the end of year 3
- Contribute to 8–10 spin‑outs per cohort for MCUK
Responsibilities:
- Project‑manage the RED fund deliverables and ensure timely delivery.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of startup and spin‑out applicants from partner universities.
- Promote MCUK’s offering across UK universities to recruit relevant cohorts.
- Collaborate with QMUL’s QUEST team and MCUK partners.
