We are looking for a Technical Engineer (Water Quality) to provide expert technical knowledge to support our Maintenance team.
Responsibilities:
- Effective management of Legionella risks through remedial works, installation, maintenance, and regular monitoring of water systems, while adhering to health and safety regulations, statutory obligations, and quality control procedures.
- Liaise with the Asset and Compliance Manager and other departments to support ongoing Legionella prevention, manage contractor activities, and ensure the operational needs of the business are met whilst maintaining accurate records for compliance.
- Participate in a roster covering 6 Saturdays per year, along with a call-out rota, both of which attract additional payments.
- Overtime may be required.
This full-time post is available immediately on an indefinite basis and is based at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, Norfolk, UK. You will be provided with your own tools and will be based solely at the UEA Campus site.
Requirements and Conditions:
- This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
- Appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service, including a check of the Child Barred List.
- It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
