Student Sport and Physical Activity Development Coordinator

Salary on appointment will be £30,918 per annum with an annual increment up to £31,749 per annum.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Student Sport and Physical Activity Development Coordinator to join the UEA+Sport Department of the Sportspark.

The uea+sport team are looking to recruit a self-motivated, organised and enthusiastic individual to help coordinate, develop and promote sport and physical activity opportunities for students across the University.

We are looking for someone with a passion for sport and physical activity, who will support the planning, development and delivery of uea+sport’s 55 clubs and Active Campus participation programme. You will play an important role in increasing participation, supporting student wellbeing and developing opportunities for students to engage in sport, volunteering and physical activity throughout the academic year.

Your duties will include coordinating sport and physical activity programmes and initiatives; supporting the development of clubs and participation opportunities; organising and delivering events; supporting volunteering, coaching, performance, maintaining accurate records and producing reports; and managing delegated resources and budgets.

You must have a degree in a sport-related field or equivalent qualification and/or directly transferable experience within the higher education sporting sector, together with experience of working in a sport development-related role. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, customer service and presentation skills are essential, alongside good numerical and IT skills. An interest in sport and a commitment to using sport and physical activity to develop people, performance and wellbeing are essential to the role.

This full-time post is available from 5 October 2026 on an indefinite basis.
