University of East Anglia in Norwich invites applications for a fully funded 4-year NRPDTP PhD commencing 1 October 2026. The project will investigate why fungal pathogens lose virulence when cultured away from their plant host, using Magnaporthe oryzae and state‑of‑the‑art molecular genetics and genomics.
You will receive broad training in molecular genetics, genomics, cell biology and plant–microbe interactions, join a vibrant research community, and complete a three-month professional placement.
