The predicted salary is between 26800 - 27315 £ per year.
Salary on appointment will be £26,800 per annum with an annual increment up to £27,315 per annum. The Sportspark at the University of East Anglia is one of the largest sports complexes in the UK attracting over a million visits a year. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fitness Advisor to join our team. Our Fitness Advisers provide professional advice to our customers who range from the elite performer to those recovering from injury or illness.
Key duties of the role include:
- Staffing the Fitness Centre
- Providing friendly, professional advice
- Ensuring a safe environment at all times
- Striving to achieve financial personal training targets
Our in-house training and professional development programmes will provide practical, operational experience to add to your academic background. You must have a Degree in Sports Science or Health/Fitness related subject; or be qualified to Level 3 or above; or have a relevant equivalent qualification. In addition to the above, you’ll need experience of working in leisure/sports environment and good knowledge of health and fitness issues. You’ll also be a good communicator with a good working knowledge of lifestyle factors relating to health and excellent motivational skills. The ability to work unsociable hours with a flexible attitude to working times is required.
This full-time post is available immediately on an indefinite basis. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
