We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as a part-time research technician within our Kobayashi Group, to support the day-to-day running of an academic research laboratory. This is a fixed-term appointment for an initial period of 24 months with the possibility of extension. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a research-active academic setting and to work closely with researchers and students as part of a collaborative team. Your priorities will include:

  • Isolation and handling of mouse oocytes/embryos
  • Microinjection of mouse oocytes/embryos
  • Genotyping
  • Preparation of media and buffers
  • General molecular biology experiments (e.g. DNA and RNA purification)

  • Prior experience in embryology and molecular cloning
