We are looking for a motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to support a British Academy-funded project evaluating palliative care models for neurodegenerative conditions. The role will involve contributing to a realist scoping review and assisting with the planning and organisation of hybrid workshops with stakeholders in Mexico.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conducting literature searching, screening, data extraction and synthesis for a realist scoping review.
  • Supporting the planning and coordination of hybrid stakeholder workshops with collaborators in Mexico.
  • Assisting with project administration, documentation, and knowledge exchange activities (e.g., manuscripts, reports, presentations).

Essential criteria:

  • PhD completed in the fields of health sciences, sociology or related.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting evidence reviews (systematic, scoping, realist, or similar).
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with an international team.
  • Knowledge or interest in palliative care, neurodegenerative conditions, and/or global health.
  • Proficiency in Spanish (to support engagement with Spanish-language literature and collaborators).
  • Experience of international/interdisciplinary collaboration.

This is a part-time, hourly-paid role. The number of hours will vary depending on project needs and can be negotiated. Payment will be made at the appropriate university research associate hourly rate. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in realist review methodology, gain experience in international research collaboration, and contribute to impactful work on global palliative care.
