The predicted salary is between 28800 - 48000 £ per year.

We are recruiting for exceptional individuals to join us as Lecturers within our Educational Psychology team. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to research and scholarship in Educational Psychology and education more broadly. The successful candidate will primarily work on the Doctorate of Applied Educational Psychology programme with the possibility of contributing to other professional programmes. The successful candidates will also be expected to engage with wider University and professional communities.

We work as part of an intellectually stimulating, inclusive, supportive and diverse academic community focussed on social justice and improving the lives of people, groups and communities at local, national and global levels. The successful candidates will be expected to take an active role in this academic community.

The successful candidates will be practising Educational Psychologists or working on a qualifying Educational Psychology programme. They will have relevant and sustained experience and have a strong interest in training, continuing professional development, and the future of professions including Educational Psychology, Teacher Education, Social Work, and Community Development and Youth Work. Applicants should be HCPC registered practitioner psychologists.

The successful candidates' priorities will include:

  • Providing excellent teaching and learning experiences for students within Educational Psychology
  • Producing scholarly outputs aligned with one of the School's research themes
  • Participating in service and leadership activities
  • Contributing to public engagement, impact and enterprise activities

We are looking for someone with:

  • Expertise in Educational Psychology
  • Experience of providing high quality education to students in higher education programmes and supporting EP trainees
  • Evidence of sustained experience in an EP role within a Local Authority (minimum of four years)
  • The ability to produce high quality research or scholarship depending on applicant profile
  • A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and to help build a team ethos
  • Eligible for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a practitioner psychologist
