We are seeking an experienced Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Physiology who will deliver engaging and innovative teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within your specialist field. The role will involve teaching across multiple sites, including the Chesterfield Campus, supporting student learning and development, and contributing to the School’s research and enterprise activities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver teaching across multiple sites and programmes.
- Support student learning and development through innovative, student‑centred methods.
- Contribute to the School’s research and enterprise activities.
- Promote professional development and industry collaboration.
Qualifications
- Good honours degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in professional practice within performance sports or relevant industries, or research/innovation experience in Sport and Exercise Physiology.
- PhD or near completion is desirable.
- Fellowship of the HEA or willingness to achieve it.
- Proven experience in a range of delivery techniques to inspire and engage students.
- Strong practical skills to support student learning and a track record of research activity or applied experience.
Employment Details
This is a fixed‑term position covering a maternity leave period, with the contract ending in mid‑June 2027. There may be the potential for extension beyond this date, but it cannot be guaranteed. The role will sit under the School of Health, Sport and Rehabilitation within the College of Health and Humanities as of 1st August 2026.
