About the Role

As Lecturer in Human Resource Management, you will be supported by an experienced team to teach and supervise a range of undergraduates, postgraduates and executive clients. With a focus upon Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, Leadership or Change Management, you will play a central role in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that motivates, challenges and inspires students, contributing to an outstanding overall student experience aligned with the University’s strategic priorities. A strong focus will be placed on embedding employability within the curriculum, ensuring that teaching reflects current industry practice and equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence required for success in the workplace. By integrating real-world learning opportunities, you will help ensure graduates are well-prepared to meet evolving professional demands. Alongside teaching responsibilities, you will also be offered opportunities to work on research projects and funding bids as appropriate.

About You

We are seeking an engaging and collaborative individual with experience or knowledge of the higher education environment, and the ability to deliver inclusive, high-quality teaching using a range of approaches to support and motivate students. You will be able to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences, creating a supportive learning environment that enables all students to succeed. You will take a flexible and organised approach to your work, managing responsibilities effectively while contributing positively within a team. You will demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and to enhancing the overall student experience, contributing to a culture that values quality, innovation, and shared success. Candidates should hold a good honours degree in a relevant subject area, alongside CIPD accreditation, and Fellowship of Advance HE (or a willingness to achieve FHEA status). Experience of working within a HR Management training environment would also be advantageous, as well as a PhD qualification and/or Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (or equivalent).

This role is eligible for sponsorship by the University, however, your individual circumstances must meet the criteria set out by UKVI; this includes meeting the English Language requirement and earning a salary that meets the highest of either the going rate for the SOC code or the minimum salary threshold for the Skilled Worker route (£41,700 per annum, as of 22nd July 2025).
