About the Role
This is a role for someone who knows that great campaigns don’t just inform people, they move them. Someone who can see the bigger picture, move quickly when an opportunity emerges, bring people together around a clear strategy, and turn a good idea into something impossible to ignore.
You’ll work alongside our legal and campaigns teams to spot opportunities, shape bold campaign strategies and turn complex legal and political issues into compelling stories that people can understand, care about and act on.
From developing digital campaigns that mobilise thousands of people, to leading projects that put pressure on decision-makers, you’ll help transform our work in the courts into action. We are especially looking for people with experience campaigning in: fighting the far right, actions against the police and political campaigning.
Responsibilities
Core
- Developing the scope and strategyfor Good Law Project’s legal and other campaigns, managing their delivery in line with relevant project prioritisation.
- Implementing digital tacticsthat mobilise the public, fundraise and make change.
- Drafting sharp, high quality compelling copyand content across a range of channels, for different audiences that move people into urgent calls to action.
- Facilitating effective communicationand collaboration across teams.
- Evaluating legal and other campaigns’ impactand performance with a view to continuously improving our systems, processes and impact.
General
- Perform Weekend Press Duties: alongside other team members on the duty rota (once every 6-8 weeks).

- Compliance & Standards:Ensure full adherence to all organisational policies, codes of conduct, data protection protocols, and legal requirements.
- Flexibility & Agility:Maintain a flexible approach, carrying out associated campaign duties or emerging priorities as reasonably required to advance the workstream's goals.

- Information Security & Confidentiality:Safeguard and treat with strict confidentiality all sensitive, personal, or legal information relating to supporters, donors, partners, staff, and litigation.
Qualifications
Essential Criteria
- Campaigning:Experience as a strategic campaigner, with a track record of implementing digital tactics that mobilise thousands, raise income, grow lists, and secure change. Experience writing excellent, persuasive copy for different audiences, making complex cases into compelling calls for action.
- Working at speed:Experience working in a fast-paced, reactive environment, comfortable with quick decision-making and delivery.
- Project management:Experience managing multi-faceted projects, ideally coordinating between different specialisms (e.g. legal, tech, and comms).
- Political & economic awareness:A keen understanding of the political landscape, particularly focused on party politics, the rise of the far right and civil rights.

- Effective Communication:Clear, engaging written and verbal communication skills that connect with colleagues, community partners, and external stakeholders.
- Prioritisation & Delivery:Strong time-management skills with a proven ability to balance competing demands and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Digital Literacy:Significant experience in core digital workplace tools, business applications, donor management and campaign technologies.
- Experience working in politics.
