Raptor Building Supplies is an established building supplies business based in Lancashire and dispatch nationwide. We employ around 30 people across sales, accounts, dispatch, warehouse and driving roles and operate from approximately 25,000 sq ft of warehouse space.
We already have the stock, team, systems, delivery capability and existing Shopify website in place. We are now looking for someone ambitious to help turn ecommerce into a much larger sales channel for the business.
This is not simply a website maintenance role.
A major part of the position will be to generate relevant traffic to the website and turn that traffic into profitable sales.
The successful candidate will work across areas including:
- Shopify website management and improvement
- product listings, categorisation and merchandising
- improving product imagery and supplier content
- planning and running digital campaigns
- Google Ads and Google Shopping
- SEO
- promotions, offers and bundles
- ecommerce analytics and reporting
- conversion rate improvement
- customer acquisition and repeat purchasing
- competitor analysis
- identifying new online growth opportunities
We want someone who is commercially minded and interested in the results their work produces.
Over time, the successful candidate will be expected to learn Raptor’s products, customers, suppliers and wider business so they can become increasingly self-sufficient in the role.
The long-term expectation is that they can identify an opportunity, build a campaign around it, launch it, analyse the results and improve it without needing constant direction.
We are particularly interested in recent graduates or early-career candidates from areas such as Ecommerce, Digital Marketing, Marketing, Business, Data/Analytics, Computer Science or related subjects.
Experience with Shopify, Google Ads, GA4, Google Shopping, SEO, Klaviyo, Canva, Excel or similar platforms would be beneficial, but we do not expect a graduate to know everything from day one.
The ideal candidate will be:
- proactive
- commercially minded
- analytical
- organised
- confident with technology
- comfortable working with numbers and data
- willing to learn quickly
- motivated by measurable sales growth
- capable of taking increasing ownership
This is an opportunity to join an already established business with the infrastructure to support serious ecommerce growth.
The role will work closely with the Director and will offer genuine responsibility from an early stage.
There will also be a performance-related bonus scheme linked to ecommerce growth and commercial results.
The objective of the role is simple: help us build Raptor’s website into a significantly stronger and more profitable online sales channel.
