The London Ambulance Service (LAS), in conjunction with the University of Cumbria, are seeking applications for a 2-year fixed term secondment in the role of "Clinical Lecturer". The successful post holder will work with the LAS academic team to deliver the University's BSc (Hons) in Paramedic Science to LAS members of staff who are undertaking the Paramedic Science Degree Apprenticeship.
The post, while a secondment to the University, will be based in London however there may be the requirement to travel to neighbouring Trusts to support the delivery of the same programme. The post holder should be an appropriately registered healthcare professional with experience of working within the pre-hospital environment as well as experience in delivering either ambulance based pre-hospital education or Higher Education Institution based healthcare education. Post holders will be supported to complete the first module of the postgraduate certificate in learning and teaching in higher education if this has not been achieved already. In addition, a bespoke induction programme will be available for new starters to engage with to support their transition into Higher Education.
