This is a key, front-facing role supporting the effective day-to-day operation of the Student Enquiry Point. You will ensure students receive timely, accurate and supportive guidance while helping to coordinate service delivery across campus. We are looking for a candidate with strong customer service expertise and a passion for supporting students, alongside extensive knowledge and experience of the Ambleside campus and its student support services, this is essential for success in the role.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a central point of expertise for complex student enquiries
  • Working with the Gateway Manager to support and guide Campus Assistants, contributing to team coordination and service quality
  • Work collaboratively across university services to deliver seamless student experience
  • Drive service improvements and contribute to a welcoming, well-managed campus environment

Qualifications

  • Have significant experience in student services, customer service or a related environment
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of student support processes and needs within higher education
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the Ambleside campus, its operations and student community
  • Be confident handling complex or sensitive enquiries with professionalism and empathy
  • Have experience supporting or supervising colleagues and contributing to a high-performing team
  • Be proactive, organised and committed to delivering excellent service
