About this role
Join our highly professional, committed, and student-focused academic community within the Support and Information Zone (SIZ) team based at the Chichester and Bognor Regis campuses. The SIZ provides a high-quality enquiry handling and reception service, or ‘one-stop-shop’ for students, staff, and visitors to the University. We are now recruiting for a part-time Service Advisor to join our successful team.
Working in a customer-focused role, dealing with internal and external contacts, you will take responsibility for answering queries and resolving issues related to a broad range of topics such as: offering first-line IT Support; guidance on accessing various student support services; registration and admissions information; and assistance with student-related processes and procedures, including access to electronic books, journals, and databases.
About you
The appointed postholder will have a welcoming, proactive problem-solving approach and will act as a key contact with Professional Service teams and Academic departments. You will be willing to engage in appropriate training and development to ensure the highest level of customer service.
The successful applicant will possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills, along with proven experience of delivering first-line customer service and support in a complex environment. Experience or demonstrable skills in first-line IT support are essential, as is the ability to understand issues from a service user\'s perspective, offering an empathetic and empowering approach.
