About this role

The successful candidate will be required to undertake duties including a coordinating role in support of student recruitment and support programme management responsibilities.
We are looking for an enthusiastic social work academic who will assume teaching responsibilities for our social work courses and contribute to a culture of innovation, creativity and professional integrity.
About you
You will be a registered Social Worker with a demonstrable ability to foster creative approaches to teaching and learning. You will also have exceptional interpersonal skills which will support you in the development of strong partnerships with students, employers and experts by experience. The appointed postholder will have a sound understanding of social work practice and a passion for teaching.
Your teaching will be informed by a combination of practical experience and/or research to support high quality learning and teaching, experience of using Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs), and the use of technologies to enhance the learning, assessment of and feedback to students on professional programmes.

You will work as part of the team to strengthen the distinctiveness of the University’s student experience as high-quality, personalised, accessible and aspirational. You’ll need to demonstrate an ability to work effectively and positively within a small academic team, excellent teaching methods with the ability to develop a variety of approaches to learning and teaching that is student-centred, inclusive and flexible.
