The University of Chichester, a top 30 university and the only university in West Sussex, seeks a Director of Research and Innovation. This role involves supporting the university's growth through research, innovation, and business development, including industry partnerships, research outputs, and engagement activities. The postholder will lead the REF submission, develop the research strategy, and collaborate with senior leadership to align research initiatives with university goals.
The ideal candidate will have an academic and research background, with extensive knowledge of the REF, research funding, and strategic business innovation. Proven experience in business development, research, and partnership management is essential, along with strong commercial skills to generate income through innovation and research activities.
You will lead the Research Office, managing resources, staff, and training. Leadership qualities, staff motivation, and performance management are key responsibilities.
