About this role
We are seeking a registered Occupational Therapist with recent clinical experience and a passion for supporting the development of future practitioners. Our innovative courses are recognised by the HCPC and RCOT for academic quality, innovation and close partnerships to healthcare and the wider sectors in which our graduates work. This role would suit an experienced clinician seeking to move into academia, or an early-career academic wishing to contribute to the development of an innovative Occupational Therapy programme.
About you
You will have contemporary occupational therapy experience, ideally gained within the UK and preferably within mental health services and/or children and young people's services although other backgrounds are welcome too. Experience of supporting, supervising or educating students in practice is highly desirable. Candidates must hold a Master's degree, or be actively working towards one, and demonstrate a commitment to evidence-informed practice, professional development and excellence in teaching and learning. The successful candidate will be a collaborative and engaging professional who can contribute to the continued development of an innovative MSc Occupational Therapy programme and help prepare graduates for contemporary occupational therapy practice.
Your teaching will be informed by a combination of practical experience and/or research to support high quality learning and teaching, experience of using Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs), and the use of technologies to enhance the learning, assessment of and feedback to our students.

You’ll need to demonstrate an ability to work effectively and positively within a small academic team, excellent teaching methods with the ability to develop a variety of approaches to learning and teaching that is student-centred, inclusive and flexible.
