The predicted salary is between 26707 - 28031 £ per year.

Part Time: 29.6 hours per week (0.8 FTE). Ideally hours to be worked Monday to Friday. Salary: £26,707 to £28,031 pro rata (£21,365 to £22,424 per annum).

About this role: We are currently seeking an individual who is passionate about the environment and can support the University to reduce our impact on the planet and influence our staff and students to make positive behaviour changes. The post is a development opportunity for someone just starting their career or looking to move into the climate change mitigation sector. The Environment and Sustainable Development Co-ordinator will work as part of the Environment and Sustainable Development team, which consists of a full-time Energy and Carbon Manager and a part-time Environment and Sustainable Development Officer, to assist in the successful delivery of the Sustainability Strategy. The role holder will provide support to the team to reduce the environmental impact of the estate and raise awareness on the emerging impact of sustainability, biodiversity and environmental issues to students, staff and other stakeholder groups.

About you: This role will require the post holder to be highly organised, motivated, and to work with staff across the University in Estates, Residential Services, Students’ Union and other departments, as well as students. The post holder will demonstrate enthusiasm for this topic and an ambition to develop. You will have a good general education to A level or equivalent, with a high standard of literacy, numeracy and attention to detail. You will need good interpersonal and communication skills, a professional manner and the ability to build relationships and respect confidentiality. You will need to be approachable, adaptable and conscientious. Previous administrative experience is essential, ideally within a similar environment, as is the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage and prioritise workload.
