School of Performing Arts and Conservatoire
Part Time: 33 hours per week (0.89 FTE)
About this role
We are currently seeking an Assistant Music Technician to join our friendly and supportive team based at our Chichester campus. The role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the Performing Arts & Conservatoire facilities, including the supervision and security of buildings during operational hours, opening and closing procedures, and acting as the on-site representative for health and safety, emergency response and business continuity arrangements. The post holder will undertake a range of administrative, technical and organisational duties, support concerts and events, and work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the student experience and contribute to the delivery of curriculum activities.
About you
You will have a good general education including high level numeracy and literacy skills; demonstrable knowledge of setting up, maintaining and reviewing administrative systems and a good knowledge of instruments or music equipment and a knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation.
You will have exceptional customer service skills and demonstrate the ability to work within a team but also work on own initiative. Recent practical experience in a technician type role or associated music related role would be ideal.
