Salary: £28,778 to £31,236 per annum

We are currently seeking an experienced Multi-skilled Building Tradesperson to join our friendly and supportive team based at our Bognor Regis Campus. The key focus of this role is to provide a high-quality service and cost-effective repairs, maintenance and planned improvement service to the University of Chichester’s students and staff at all University sites Stockbridge Halls, Fishbourne Halls, Chichester and Bognor Regis Campus. You will be key to maintaining the integrity and the performance of the University estate buildings and land. This will involve efficiently and effectively carrying out a full range of duties with the emphasis on multi-skilled works at various domestic and commercial properties including other general tasks such as grounds/garden maintenance at the University. As the building maintenance team is primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of university premises, which includes listed buildings, a high standard of craft skills and the ability to work effectively with the minimum of supervision is required.

About you

You will have a good general education. A recognised qualification in a building related trade, City and Guilds or NVQ qualification in multi trade disciplines or experience in multi-trades activity e.g Carpentry, Masonry, Decorating, Tiling, Plumbing, wet trades and grounds keeping. You will demonstrate a good knowledge of health and safety in a professional building industry environment and be confident in using a range of hand and power tools.
