Part‑time (27.75 hours per week, 0.75 FTE) laboratory technician supporting the Faculty of Health, Science and Engineering while undertaking a part‑time PhD (0.25 FTE).
Salary: £26,707 to £28,031 per annum (£20,030 to £21,023 per annum pro rata). Bursary: £3,125 per annum for the duration of the PhD plus fees waiver.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain laboratory facilities and equipment, demonstrate equipment usage to staff and students, and carry out duties across the Biomedical Science degree programmes.
- Support other faculty staff and work in multiple laboratories.
Qualifications:
- Holds a BSc or equivalent in Biomedical Science or a related Biological Science.
- Demonstrated knowledge of biomedical laboratory equipment, including cell culture.
- Experience working in a laboratory or academic environment, with background in exercise, environmental, human physiology, or life sciences.
- High organisational and communication skills.
